Profile

Prof. Isa Kabenge is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at Makerere University’s College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES). He is an experienced researcher and academic specializing in water resources engineering, irrigation management, and climate-smart agriculture. He is passionate about integrating emerging technologies and circular economy principles into the management of environmental systems.

 His work focuses on improving agricultural water-use efficiency, developing sustainable irrigation systems, and strengthening resilience and the use of applied artificial intelligence in ecological systems under changing climate conditions. Prof. Kabenge has contributed extensively to teaching, research, and applied innovation in water and environmental management, with a strong focus on supporting sustainable agricultural development in Uganda and beyond.

 At ACC, Prof Kabenge is in charge of Academic, Research and Career development for graduate students.
